Job Description

The position

Contract Management Expert in Romania.

Duration:  1 year with prolongation possibility

Working schedule: 40 hours per week

 

Tasks and responsibilities

Job Scope: 

  • Coordination of project contract management & control activities
  • Report the investment projects status which are executed in the Project Management Portfolio
  • Assurance of completeness of all contractual documents during ITB and Contract award phases
  • Coordination of Management of Change according procedure for the Portfolio

Main Tasks: 

  • Assist Project Manager / ADM with development of project contracting strategy and contracting plan
  • Consolidate inputs from contract & procurement specialists, legal advisors, technical discipline specialists, project management team and contract owners during contract development on projects
  • Facilitate and support the development of the ITBs and contract
  • Coordination and standardisation of contracting approach/terms within the project portfolio
  • Central collection of all changes and claims raised by contractors during the project
  • Obtain and consolidate the necessary statements of the project team members and related discipline specialists regarding changes and claims
  • Facilitate the assessment of the entitlement of the change/ claim with respect to contractual basis
  • Facilitate the assessment of the entitlement of the change/ claim with respect to financial aspects
  • Central collection of decision making documents for starting, tracking and closing of change / claim management.
  • Presentation to the project team of the decision making process for scope changes and claims
  • Identify potential problematic contracts and establish claim mitigation strategy, including appropriate documentation
  • Tracking of the project activities with respect to potential claims of contractors and potential damages to the principal caused by contractors
  • Assistance to QA review team in related tasks to demonstrate compliance with Contracts Management
  • Assistance to PM / ADM for the enforcement of liquidated damages against contractors
  • Regular reporting of contract and change control activities status
  • Monitoring and following up the data booked in SAP
  • Support to Department Manager Project Services as required
  • Input and verification of project control section on project Invitation To Bid documentation
  • Prepare and issue project Motions for budget approval and fund release, follow up approval status and provide support to AfE’s carrying out process
  • Identifying counteractive measures in case of negative performances
  • Offers support in coordination of Change Management and contract alignment in terms of schedule, cost and scope.

Requirements

  • University degree (technical or economical)
  • Experience and knowledge in contract development, management and control activities  – min. 10 years
  • Cooperation and interactive skills
  • Reporting skills
  • Fluent English proficiency
  • MS Office
  • SAP
  • Knowledge of corresponding laws and regulations, international and company codes and standards, respective company guidelines
  • Strong knowledge about type of contracts, management of change and claims
