Job Description


As an expeditor you are responsible for expediting desk & field activities and ensures timely receipt of supplier documentation as agreed per the Project Document Requirement List (PDRL), participate in pre-award/bid clarification meetings with suppliers, develop, maintains and distributes the Expedit-ing Status Report (ESR), monitor the follow up of suppliers expediting activities towards sub-suppliers, expedite material as required per the Purchase Order (PO) in order to meet contractual agreed delivery dates.
You expedite and monitor timely submittal of supplier inspection invitations, based on Inspection Test, plan (ITPs), submit shipping instructions to suppliers and forwarders based on Inspection Re-lease Notes or Inspection Waivers.
You closely work together with the Logistics Coordinator, who is responsible for major transports.
You will keeps knowledge and procedures up-to-date on all relevant aspects and shares this within the section and reports regularly to the Section Head Procurement on personal achievements and section matters.
You handle administrative work correctly, use and maintain corporate standards and develop and propose improvements.



  • Jointly responsible for the correct course of the logistics process within projects.  preparing project expediting and inspection procedures, organizing pre-inspections, planning and  executing pre-inspections and expediting activities.
  • Analyzes operational risks regarding the materials to be transported, means of transport and local conditions, whether or not based on expediting visits and reports on this.
  • Prepares, manages and sends accurate material, production and delivery status reports in a timely manner.
  • Plans in time and coordinates incoming and outgoing transports and deliveries of project materials, whether or not after consultation with the Expediting & Trade Compliance Manager.
  • Monitors the progress of the delivery of materials, services and documents and maintains contact with customers, suppliers and carriers for this purpose.
  • Ensures timely availability of means of transport and capacity, taking into account the workload and current and new projects with due observance of the required quality level.
  • Follows up non-conformities, assesses them and submits this to the responsible Sales Manager or Sales Engineer; undertakes and coordinates actions towards supplier or customer in case of non-conformities, after consultation with the Expediting & Trade Compliance Manager
  • Monitors the progress of the projects and control and provides feedback of any discrepancies to the responsible Sales Engineer.
  • Ensures availability of inspectors from qualified agencies.
