The position
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Welder with expertise in the MAG/FCAW (Metal Active Gas/Flux-Cored Arc Welding) process, specifically MAG/FCAW/138, to join our team for an onshore project in Europe. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing welding tasks using the above process, with a focus on machinery such as generators, compressors and winches.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and organized work area;
- Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures at all times;
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of welding equipment;
- Set up and operate welding equipment and machinery for MAG/FCAW/138;
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines;
- Ability to weld in various positions, including 6G, while maintaining high-quality standards;
- Report any issues or concerns related to welding on machinery to the Welding Supervisor;
- Inspect and ensure the quality of welds on machine components, making adjustments as necessary;
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols to determine welding requirements for machinery;
- Perform welding duties using the MAG/FCAW process, specifically MAG/FCAW/138, on machinery, including generators, compressors, and winches.
Requirements
- Right to work in Europe;
- Proficiency in welding positions, including 6G;
- Familiarity with safety procedures and guidelines.
- Relevant welding certifications, including MAG/FCAW/138;
- Ability to start work next Monday and commit to an 8-week project;
- Strong attention to detail and precision in welding work on machinery;
- Proven experience as a Welder, with expertise in the MAG/FCAW process, specifically;
- Knowledge of welding equipment and its maintenance, with a focus on machinery components.
